The war might be over but there are demonstrations in the streets, inflation is out of control, families are rationing food, politicians' wives are publishing self-help books and kids are left unsupervised in their concrete playgrounds.
At the back of an apartment block, four children recreate the world around them: a world of mum, dad, son, daughter and the family dog. This is the game of Family Stories: Belgrade, a violently skewed family portrait of a civilized nation about to implode.
How many times do I need to explain? How many times do I need to repeat? Trust no one but yourself. Head in the sand, bum in the air! People are people's enemy.
"Fringe theatre doesn't get more exciting or disturbing than this." - The Age
"Compelling... refreshingly accessible... inventive... such a theatrical conceit seems perfectly matched to the politics of today" - Sydney Morning Herald
